Email notifications

My inbox is due for a 'response injection' from LJ postings, considering nothing has come through for two or three days. I've tried to re-visit posts to look for comments and have replied as appropriate, but may have missed some in my scatter-gun response style...

Do you know about http://www.livejournal.com/tools/recent_comments.bml ? It can be quite useful for situations like this.

Oh LJ...that long standing bug is still not quite fixed, is it?

It's been a while since this happened to me, but I'm still missing many notifications. Hotmail did a revamp of their entry page, and maybe I should poke in my spam box to see if things went the wrong direction.

I'm not so sure this is actually a bug on LJ's part. Given the stunts and standards violations that the large carriers regularly pull (and get away with purely by virtue of being the 800 lbs gorillas on the block), it's surprising that much mail gets delivered to those using them at all.
