A fun little article by the Royal Mint on their Queen's Beasts series, The Lion of England. Nice sketch there-

And here are two the Royal Canadian Mint Polar Bears-

Fairly standard, and it has little paw prints around the outside rim!

Duuuude!

Ah, zoomorphs! :o)

That's a nice looking lion sketch they have for the coin.

It really is a lovely pose, and the coin they produced from that is outstanding!

Canada does get some quite wonderful coins. ^_^ Though, even the UK did see that memorable Beatrix Potter release last year. I move that the Royal Mint replace all current designs with similarly adorable designs. (I suppose Benjamin would have to be on the £5 =:)

Very cool tessellation, too. =:D The designer clearly had fun with that one. ^_^

It's nice to see coins with such images as Peter and Friends! At least our postage stamps carry comic characters occasionally: I still have a book or two of Bugs Bunny like these somewhere here

I like the kaleidoscope bears a lot. Very ingenious, as are so many of their designs.
