This book came across the desk at work today: the title caught my eye...

Hmmmm, no, it's not that sort of goose :D

Well, there we have the ultimate adult detector. ^_^;

Nonetheless, it does look thoroughly charming, and that's what endears me to children's books, with the likes of Stellaluna in the forefront. ^_^

I love children's books, mostly for the illustrations but some for the stories. Stellaluna has both, as do most of Cannon's books.

This is a book that looked endearing and sweet, but the story was so sad I had difficulty finishing it-

Good reading if you're looking for a good cry...

Thanks for the heads up about Ida, and the other charming arts!

I'm afraid there will be some upset parents if they bring the Ida book home based on its sweet cover... We have another poignant little tale in a Mo Willems book: City Dog, Country Frog.
