Yard Bunnies?

Got a pic of two rabbits hanging out in the backyard-

These two are actually in quarantine: aromatic & itchy rummage sale rescues. I've febrezed them and will see how they are after a day in the sun tomorrow.

I know they don't mind, but still, it looks so awkward, seeing a bun hanging by their ears. ^_^;

I really need to give my bunny and panda a bit of a clean sometime, too. I'd be very nervous about forgetting to put the machine on a wash-only cycle, though..

I don't wash my plush often, but these two ended up getting a washcloth shampoo after airing, and when they still felt itchy (I'm thinking dust mites) I actually bagged them and put them in the upright freezer for a week.

I have friends who do admirable jobs destuffing and carefully washing their plush friends, but that scares me. One of my bears needs a good cleaning now after four snuggly years but I'm afraid of damaging him. I've thought of the washing machine but am scared the eyes will get damaged. Someday I'll chance soaking them in a pail, at least.
